Joking aside, don't drive her to the hospital.
1. You don't want to have to mess about parking or to have to keep going outside to feed the meter.
2. You don't want to drive when you're that distracted (trust me, you will be).
3. You may go quite some time without sleep (my wife's labour lasted 54 hours) - no way I'd want to drive home after going that long without sleep.

Get a taxi.

Apparently. But valid points all, although I do a fair amount of work at that hospital so parking ain't an issue and I've driven whilst being far more distracted than that... but still, I see what you're getting at.

Regardless, she's been sober for 8 months, I might as well show some solidarity for the last few weeks.

Mine was 'a small baby' size. Caesarean due to diabetic possible complications.
I really should know her weight but really, who gives a toss?

It was well LOL. My ex had such a humungous tolerance to drugs that they'd given her the maximum safe dose and she could still feel them testing for a reaction. They couldn't believe it. I fucking could.
