The budget was a farce, apart from the NI reduction to help small businesses employ more people.

It's hardly unexpected
Osborne is such an astounding retard even the Treasury don't know what to do with him.
The only scary thing is a creeping dread that Ed Balls would be even worse at it.

Anyone who wants that job should be barred from having it.
The economy should be handled by economists not politicians.

It mostly is.
That's what the Treasury and the BoE are. Most Chancellors take the advice of the Treasury and the BoE. Apparently, from what I've been told, Osborne doesn't because the Tories "know better"

"know better" will end up as directors of the private companies that will ultimately end up owning much of the public sector, once they have left office.

How comes this one isnt' a "paradox"?

Because it doesn't contain two things that are mutually incompatible.
The two points of a paradox must be unable to both be true simultaneously, but both seem to be true as they stand alone. "para" means "beyond" and "dox" means "thought" or "opinion"
Ok, best simple example I know of, "what happens if Pinocchio says 'my nose will grow now' ? "
Everyone one knows Pinocchio's nose grows if he lies. And the statement "my nose will grow now" can either be true or a lie. But if it's a lie, his nose will grow because he's lying, but that would make the statement true. The two parts are mutually incompatible.

That was quite good, as was the £10k tax free loans for employees to buy season tickets etc.
Neither of them new ideas or going to save the economy, but better than nothing.

I hate to sound thick, but what are "season tickets" in this context?
