I've got a Balinese first-copy of a U-Boat watch.
It's a double "fuck-you" at expensive watch owners as it contains a proper swiss movement, keeps perfect time, is indistinguishable from from the real thing and cost less than £100.

I have a Citizen watch that is solar powered and sets itself to teh correct time every night via a radio signal.
so it never stops and it never gets out of time.

It was only a few hundred quid which I don't think is unreasonable for a watch.

so cost per use by now is less than 30p. And if I keep it for ten years (which I'm sure I will) it will be very good value for money.
