The other half doesn't drive, but she's been offered a regional based job she'd have to pass her test and be confidant before she does it.

Ah. One thing that will help her confidence is if she has a couple of lessons driving on a motorway, once she's passed her test.

They want her to start in 4 weeks, which I don't think is possible.

Perfectly possible.

Hmm, I'll have to look into it tonight.
Don't know if they'll expect her to do her normal job at the same time as all this though.

Also if you are looking to get a quick pass.
Maybe suggest just getting an Auto license it is far easier to learn to drive without the gears bit getting in the way, Unless of course she has to have a manual

I will table that motion at the house meeting tonight.

She may not be able to book a test that soon.
Most learning about driving comes after you have a licence - the test only really makes sure you can make it go and not hit stuff.
I don't imagine confidence would be a problem for someone comfortable with removing their clothes in a room full of strangers.

book the test now,
I got lucky and snuck in at a cancellation, but most people have to wait 4 or 5 weeks
