I'm going to the O2, have you been to the O2?
Which band would you like to see live who it is impossible to see live due to deaths and sulks and shit?

Alt: If you got an email at work about a lottery syndicate would you pay their ransom? They'd likely not win but could you take that chance?

AltAlt: I went to Hammersmith and saw teh Quo and they were fucking ace. |I didn't know you could still get patches. Do you have a demin jacket resplendent with patches? If not, why not?
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:42, 197 replies, latest was 12 years ago)
Nope, never been - looks dreadful.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Alt: Wut?

Altalt: I had a denim jacket covered with patches when I was about 13. My mum had to sew them all on.

As venues go it appears to be a venue
I like Jimi Hendrix, he burnted guitars on stage so I'm tolled.

The O2 is a bit of a shit venue.
Well good sound and that, but not much atmosphere. And you can't smoke inside and the floor isn't sticky enough.

From what you good folks have said it needs to up its' game a bit

The O2 is friggin huge. Hope you're not in the nosebleeds.
The giant screens look like tiny tellys.

Saw Skunk Anansie recently. They were friggin awesome!
I realise none of them are dead.

Alt. No.

Would your lot be better or worse off if they sold Suarez?
If they did sell him who would you buy?
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:58, Reply)
Far worse off, he's our main threat.
Sturridge is still playing well, but his goals have dried up a bit.

From the sound of it, the question that lead to this was either extremely pointed, or has been mistranslated.
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 11:02, Reply)
Studge suffers from English footballer syndrome
In that he is half decent but no where nears as good as the press made him out to be and significantly worse then he thinks he is. He also has a tendency to let his head go down if playing badly, And I also assume he is colour blind as he would rarely find someone in a blue shirt (or red now)
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 11:12, Reply)
This is true
Coutinho is proving to be a good little buy though.

Also a question for Drivers.
How long do you think it'll take to go from not driving to driving 10-20 hours a week for work. Cost of lessons not a problem but being safe and or confidant is.
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:47, Reply)
What do you mean?

(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:53, Reply)
The other half doesn't drive, but she's been offered a regional based job she'd have to pass her test and be confidant before she does it.

(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:53, Reply)
Ah. One thing that will help her confidence is if she has a couple of lessons driving on a motorway, once she's passed her test.

(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:56, Reply)
They want her to start in 4 weeks, which I don't think is possible.

(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:57, Reply)
Perfectly possible.

(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:57, Reply)
Hmm, I'll have to look into it tonight.
Don't know if they'll expect her to do her normal job at the same time as all this though.
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 11:09, Reply)
Also if you are looking to get a quick pass.
Maybe suggest just getting an Auto license it is far easier to learn to drive without the gears bit getting in the way, Unless of course she has to have a manual
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 11:17, Reply)
I will table that motion at the house meeting tonight.

(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 11:32, Reply)
She may not be able to book a test that soon.
Most learning about driving comes after you have a licence - the test only really makes sure you can make it go and not hit stuff.
I don't imagine confidence would be a problem for someone comfortable with removing their clothes in a room full of strangers.
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 11:02, Reply)
book the test now,
I got lucky and snuck in at a cancellation, but most people have to wait 4 or 5 weeks
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 11:05, Reply)
It would take at least 20 lessons to learn and pass
Then a month or so of driving to feel confident, I'd say
(, Tue 26 Mar 2013, 10:53, Reply)
I thought a week intensive course and then advanced driving courses
as well as as much travel as possible... but I wouldn't know.

I don't want to see any band at the 02.
It's a huge venue full of people, the best gigs are the more intimate ones, or big festival madness. Stadium shows are donkey balls.
Best gig ever was seeing Pearl Jam in a tiny bar in Settle with my brother. There were maybe 50 people in the bar, and pearl Jam were on great form.

I've never been to the O2.
I always found London to be scary and unwelcoming.
Except the last time I went, two years ago, when I had a lovely time and everyone was friendly and polite.

I missed the chance of seeing Chuck Berry live back in '93, so I'd probably say him.

Alt: Depends if you want your colleagues to think you're 'one of them'. If you refuse to take part, they might think you think you're better than them. Of course, if you *are* better than them, that's not a problem.
