Pfft.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:48, Reply)
Maybe you should stick to Lee Child, eh?

I don't really read non-fiction unless it's cosmology or critical theory, soz.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:52, Reply)
Then you're missing out.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:52, Reply)
I just prefer reading fiction is all.
I also like non-fiction about serial killers. My favourites are Ted Bundy and Edmund Kemper.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:53, Reply)
Kemper rocks.
There is also a good book about Nielsen called 'Killing for company'.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:55, Reply)
Nilsen was one sick puppy, but ultimately just a poor man's Dahmer.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:57, Reply)
Brian Masters, who wrote the book about Nielsen, also wrote one about Dahmer.
His conclusion: Nielsen was worse.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:00, Reply)
really?
Fucking hell.

Nilsen is in Full Sutton. Nearish to York.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:01, Reply)
The UK hasn't had a decent serial killer for years. Well overdue.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:05, Reply)
that Crossbow Cannibal dude was a fucking joke.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:07, Reply)
All the best ones were from Bradford, though.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:09, Reply)
Or Gloucester.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:14, Reply)
And I was living in Gloucester when Fred was found out.
Serial killer tracker right here.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:22, Reply)
Isn't he dead?
As a nation we've fucked up by having serial killers called Neilson and Nilson - a labour government led by Ed Balls would correct this.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:08, Reply)
still alive.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:09, Reply)
There's yer man
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Neilson

Confusing surnames.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:12, Reply)
Nah, he's still breathing.
And no doubt still mentally wanking over corpses.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:10, Reply)
Which one?
I'll put money on it's not "The kindness of women".
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:49, Reply)
Vermilion Sands.
My favourite Ballard is The Atrocity Exhibition.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:50, Reply)
We've discussed Ballard before.
The kindness of women is one of the most beautiful books I've ever read.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:53, Reply)
Ballard's fiction was beautifully constructed, and highly complex.
Have you got the complete short stories? Fascinating to see him develop from the clumsy sci fi of his earliest work, through to stuff like Why I Want to Fuck Ronald Reagan, to the formal narratives of his late work.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:56, Reply)
I think I told you to buy the short stories.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:58, Reply)
I got the short stories years ago.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:59, Reply)
Pretentious prick

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 19:58, Reply)

Intellectually as well as heightwise.
(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:00, Reply)
Says someone shorter than me.

(, Wed 27 Mar 2013, 20:04, Reply)
