I've seen dreadful, tedious hip hop shows by acts who made great records* - and vice versa.
De La Soul do an amazing show and I couldn't really give a shit about their records.

Is there anything more gutting than getting really hyped up to see a band and them very obviously not giving a shit?
Like the first time I saw Korn. Shut up, I was 17

First time I saw Korn, they had guest singers for each track
That was better than actually seeing Korn.

Meh
If I want tedious and ill-thought-out political hectoring I just go round Al’s house.

You'd never go to Als house.
