Shall we just talk about cars instead?

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:33, 3 replies, latest was 12 years ago)
That'd be lovely :)

I watched "Wheeler Dealers - Trading up" last night
and fell in love with a Volvo P1800
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:35, Reply)
Never really been a fan of Swedes, myself.
Japs from the 70s and Krauts from the 80s, please.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:38, Reply)
80's British please.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:40, Reply)
Unreliable and made out of chocolate.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:43, Reply)
Is still love the old Saab 900 turbo

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:47, Reply)
Dreadful car.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:49, Reply)
Some cars you buy with your head
Some cars you buy with your heart
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:54, Reply)
that new f type looks tasty

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:35, Reply)
It's overpriced. Almost £60k for the entry level model IIRC.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:36, Reply)
ent it 80 for the v8.
It's still all about the 911 bro
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:38, Reply)
Or a Vantage.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:41, Reply)
Must be a "new" one due soon
The rest of the range has been refreshed
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:43, Reply)
dunno, astons all look the same and have done for years. In all the excitement they seem to have forgotten to employ a designer
i don't know if the stories of lack of reliability are true or not
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:44, Reply)
A mate of mine has one, never had a problem with it.
I'd quite like an Audi R8.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:47, Reply)
nice motor, better than the 911 as a set up, and less of them littering the streets

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:51, Reply)
Mrs van dam got to drive one and fucking loved it

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:53, Reply)
Says the man who wants a 911?

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:49, Reply)
yeah, but you can differentiate between the whole porsche range pretty easily. Try that with the astons. Also whichever way you dice it the 911 looks great and is always subtly improved which is part of its attraction. Stick a 70's 911 next to a 13 plate

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:53, Reply)
I love old 911's
I watched a documentary on Singer Porsche the other day, such a great concept
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:56, Reply)
they're nice, however next to a 991 they look a bit gay

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 9:04, Reply)
Plus it's not too big for British roads
a Lambo for example is wider than a Transit.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:56, Reply)
it's a shit stupid car that s too low and way too garish

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 9:04, Reply)
I kinda get the feeling you don't like them

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 9:06, Reply)
Bit fussy around the gills, but the rear looks good.
I LIKE A NICE REAR OLOLOL
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:37, Reply)
it's a nice looking motor, ok, just leave it yeah

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:39, Reply)
I've got to go and fix a friends skoda tomorrow,
I don't know why anyone would buy an octavia, the electrics were clearly done by someone with no concept of the technology they were working with.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:38, Reply)
It's a VAG thing, I think. My A3's the same platform as the Octavia
and the electrics in it are madness.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:43, Reply)
my plan is just unhook everything non essential.
The trip computer seems to send everything loopy
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:46, Reply)
YES.
Had the steering column replaced my volvo recently (recall). Now the car wants to pull to the left. Thoughts?
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:37, Reply)
They put it in wrong.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:38, Reply)
They put in the steering column from a left hand drive model

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:40, Reply)
That or your wife is fatter than ABs

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:40, Reply)
Nobody has a fatter wife than AB.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:41, Reply)
get Tony Blair to talk to it.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:40, Reply)
* double seats *

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:41, Reply)
Your steering column was probably made by the sort of fighty oiks we have in our city centre on Saturday nights.
I wouldn't trust its safety.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:48, Reply)
I'd love to get either a Tickford Capri or a Rover SD1 (the 3.5 Vitesse)

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:40, Reply)
The SD1 I'd have, if I knew how to weld.
Never really been a fan of Capris, though.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:44, Reply)
The Tickford Capri is something special

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:50, Reply)

bit pricey for a good one, though.
