I prefer Gordon Brown.
It was pointed out on something the other day that Alaister Darling predicted this current downturn some time ago, but nobody paid any attention and he gets no credit for it. Maybe he also helped cause it which is the problem.

Labour tossed away a really good opportunity to develop Britain into a leading first world economy.
instead they seemed more intent on turning it into some multi cultural wogsville, whilst denying there was ever an influx of forrins in the first instance.

That interview reminded me of the Adrian Mole poem:
Do you weep, Mrs Thatcher, do you weep?
Do you wake, Mrs Thatcher, in your sleep?
Do you weep like a sad willow?
On your Marks and Spencer's pillow?
Are your tears molten steel?
Do you weep?
Do you wake with 'Three million' on your brain?
Are you sorry that they'll never work again?
When you're dressing in your blue, do you see the waiting queue?
Do you weep, Mrs Thatcher, do you weep?

Lovely walk down the canal this morning, a good start. Work worryingly quiet though: over 11% down on last year, it ain't good.

Yup.
Only cripples and mentally ill parrot-owning types are glued to their computers when it's sunny. If it remains so, eventually people get bored but for now the novelty is keeping niggas outside.

Er... it's a diesel.
Er, I buy the tyres that the man in the tyre place recommends, that aren't the cheapest ones but the middle of the range ones.
