This guy at work is bragging that his PPI refund is fucking massiveWe are talking about 50k. I pointed out that its his money anyway and I never took out any ppi, never got any loans, so therefore never paid any massive interest payments etc.

It is compound interest on the amount you paid thoughIf you took out PPI 15 years ago on a £1k loan you could get more than that back now

His PPI will have made his loan 50k bigger thenas they probably added all the PPI cost for the whole term at the start, and he has to pay it off as part of the loan.
