what's the difference between a sociopath and a psychopath anyway?

For all intents and purposes, there isn't one.
At most psychopaths are born that way and sociopaths get broken from the outside in.

A sociopath has a personality disorder which makes their attitudes and behaviour antisocial.
A psychopath has a chronic mental disorder which makes their behaviour violent and aggressive.
