I'm totally feeling swayed to spend an extra twenty quid here.
I just got told my mrs got a parking fine for leaving the car in the car park and not telling me so I could put a ticket on it on my way past.

Dunno how much you're willing to spend
but the Cambridge Audio Azur 340C is one of the best budget CD players on the market. Should cost about 150 quid.

At any rate, if you go for the Topaz you're certainly not going to be disappointed.
Cambridge Audio have been the entry level yardstick for yonks.
