With pubs it boils down to how quick and cheap you want it
If you want it quick and cheap it'll be pre-prepared and microwaved, if you want it prepared and cooked individually you'll have to wait and the cost will be higher. I don't see a problem with this as long as it's stated up front.

alt: best pub meal I had recently was venison, it was NOM.

Does sound good
I've had some fairly terrible pub meals, the roast beef Sunday dinner I had a couple of weeks ago was pretty good though.

The roast in The Approach by Victoria Park is fucking outstanding.
Best I have had in London.

I've been looking at Burger Me!
it's a "blog" - he basically reviews posh burgers. The Admiral Codrington over by Swipey gets 10/10.

I've never heard of that one

Me either
we should go. We could invite Swipe to come watch us eat meat.

Make it a large one I'm sure she will offer to pay as well

She could stand outside, crying.
That would be good.

I wish I hadn't looked at that.
I am fucking ravenous now.

The ones that do a limited selection well are best
the ones that do loads of different stuff tend to be shit and microwaved.
