I detect some sniping between a number of contributors and Woodside Industries. Where did it begin?

it's so so so boring!
but WI made a few snide comments on some qotw posts. so i pointed out that his numerous b3ta stats paint a picture of a spotty virgin rather than a smooth man of the world, and he pointed out that i am nothing but an attention seeking baby with an empty, hollow existence. he also hates what he calls "pandering", and thus by definition qotw in general.

also there are pictures of him at some b3ta bash. much mirth was had at that, given his self-professed awesomeness.

meanwhile, a few other talkers tried to troll over here, but their comments were far more pathetic than WI - who if nothing else is clearly intelligent and literate - so they just got ignored by everyone.

i can't do links because i am clearly not intelligent, but it was on some posts last week or the one before about people with depression where the bile really started being flung.

Talk boarders
For the most part, they flit between QOTW and Talk and everyone's happy.

However a few seem to think that Talk humour and obscure in jokes would win them fans on QOTW, when this didn't happen a couple of noses seem to be put out of joint in a how-dare-they-not-find-me-funny sort of a way.

i couldn't give a fuck what people want to say or what they find funny; there is very little i take seriously. but i really don't get the point of those /talkers who read qotw purely to post a link to /talk so they can rant about how crap we all are. why would you bother? surely that has got to be the definition of completely pointless!

In the main
the more offensive of the talk boarders like to get a rise from someone. I bit back the other week when someone offended me on the aspergers thread and realised it was exactly what the guy wanted. So I put him on ignore.

It smacks of sour grapes and failed attention seeking, especially when you visit one of the individuals' profile pages and read that he's against fascism and censorship, yet in the same vein seems to display a grudge against QOTW. I can't help but think it's simply because his nose is out of joint because his provocative humour doesn't go down well here.

and I am prepared to believe that most of the time people like Woodside are funny, but I've yet to see any evidence of it

WI and amorous badger annoyed me at first, back when i still had the energy to give a flying fuck, because when they do write something, it's clever and funny. but they're much more interested in posting links to slag people off. whereas some of the other talking twats (like esmefuckface or shegetz) have precisely nothing that is of any interest to say to anyone, nope, not even accidentally.

which i guess, to answer enzyme's original question again, is why WI sparked such a response but nobody could be fucked to reply to the others!

Was the guy who started B3ta's internet campaign to ban fat people, talks constantly about how awesome and relevant he is, not to mention attractive to women etc. He refers a lot to how he makes wobbly internet people cry.

What interests me about this
is that WI seems to have such a hatred for the QOTW. Why bother? Why ask for it to be shut down? If he doesn't like it all he has to do is ignore it, as I ignore /talk because I don't happen to find it entertaining. He can stay out of the QOTW, I can stay out of /talk, and everyone's content.

It's very weird.
