Ofsted normally happens every two years or so

Just had a look, better your score the less often a full inspection happens.

Yeah, they like to keep an eye on 'borderline' schools.
Most boards of governers will only stand one or two dodgy inspections before they replace headteachers. Sometimes that's enough to make a difference.
