What do you know nothing about?
We've witnessed a spectacular display of ignorance from Chompy in the last thread. What do you claim to know about that you don't?

What don't you understand? Me; electricity = witch craft. Successful marriages; a mystery.

Demonstrate your ignorance.

How was I ignorant?

(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 10:43, Reply)
Well your claims about the London property market & how school quality influences that were complete horse shit for starters.

(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 10:47, Reply)
The premium for Ofstead rated outstanding schools in and around london is ridiculously high.
Especially if you consider that the schools (can) get rated every year and the ratings often change. You'd never move house every year to the best school, so it's irrational. Anyway I only posted two things about that.

Montys post said 1 in 4 primary school children in primary school in Tower Hamlets speak another language at home.
He got all worked up like this is the worst thing that can happen. Blamed the forrins in a racist way.

I pointed out the fact london school outperform the rest of the country
and that tower hamlets is significantly above country average.
This was backed up with actual facts.

You shouted at me about house prices
(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 10:49, Reply)
Don't use facts on the internet, you fool!

(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 10:50, Reply)
How many times were you Ofsteaded while you were a teacher?
can you give battered an idea of how big a difference there is between an outstanding and a good school.
(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 10:55, Reply)
Ofsted normally happens every two years or so
There is a very fine margin between good and outstanding.
(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 10:59, Reply)
Just had a look, better your score the less often a full inspection happens.

(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 11:01, Reply)
Yeah, they like to keep an eye on 'borderline' schools.
Most boards of governers will only stand one or two dodgy inspections before they replace headteachers. Sometimes that's enough to make a difference.
(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 11:11, Reply)
I only taught for one year
and we weren't inspected.

The judging standards have probably changed completely since then too.

it strikes me that people are very very keen to blame darkies for stuff,
confirmation bias and anecdotal evidence being kings for these people, so that they can then go, i'm not being racist, i've SEEN forrin kids hanging round in groups doing violence and i've seen terrible schools that are full of em, like there aint gangs of white kids and schools full of white kids that are equally terrible
(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 11:59, Reply)
the fact is you've had to learn english to get benefits for bloody years now,
the tories only brought it up again as part of their plan to divide this country and get us all hating eachother so that they can get away with royally fucking large sections of society, cos they conned us into hating them

Politics.
Apparently I have a very naive view of politics. Stand for what you believe in, act on what you say, get voted on how you perform.

Then you add in party politics, media interference, market influence, and the whole thing gets confusing beyond measure.

It's no wonder there's voter apathy.

I thought the VR6 was based on the rear wheel drive A3 platform?

(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 11:15, Reply)
The A3 is FWD
And the Corrado is based on the mk3 Golf
(, Tue 2 Jul 2013, 11:18, Reply)
The VR6 wasn't based on the Golf - front axle was too wide. The smaller engined cars were based on the golf though. Mk2 I think.
