another friend of mine was in charge of clinical trials for cancer drugsshe said the average time they bought patients was 5 years, and really, you wouldn't want the last 4 years and 6 months. it's a fucking evil disease.

This is what annoys me so much about people whining that they can't get drugs on the NHS.If there was actual proof that these significantly helped extend your life, they would be available, but they don't in any meaningful way, but people aren't willing to listen to reason.
