that's hardly gonna pay the mortagage is it
do you get more if you live in London where everything is more expensive and less if you live somewhere cheap like the north or Wales?
(, Wed 31 Jul 2013, 15:15, Reply)
I don't think you do; it's a standard amount as far as I'm aware.
Fortunately I don't have a mortgage. But I do have a loan on the place, which fortunately is unsecured.

Mortgage is paid by housing benefit, you don't have to pay council tax either.
JSA is for bills and spending money. After gas/electric/water/phone/internet you've probably got £20ish a week for luxuries like food.

Also, nope flat rate across the country.

Hold up, you can buy a house on benifits?

(, Wed 31 Jul 2013, 15:18, Reply)
If you have a mortgage you will get your interest paid
but only after you've been claiming for 40 weeks, by which point your house will probably have been repossessed anyway.
(, Wed 31 Jul 2013, 15:19, Reply)
No, but if you lose your job you don't get thrown out on the street straight away.
