My wife was born to an Irish father and a Scottish mother
so she still manages to come out with daft sayings I've never heard of even after 13 years of marriage, like..

I'm not as green as I'm cabbage-looking
well, he/she doesn't lick it off the grass
as odd as a pig from Drogheda

She also can't pass a lone magpie without calling it Mr Magpie and asking after his family. She a do wont buy a red car, something to do with having crashed three of them in the past, the daft bint.

Altalt: Family holiday down in Somerset followed by a second attempt at the Monopoly Pub Crawl in the capital (the last one was scuppered by trying to do a Sisters of Mercy gig on the same day)

Monopoly pub crawl sounds excellent

It'd be bloody expensive if you did it properly
but we're just going to do one pub per street set and do shots of sambuca at all the rest. Should take most of the day then we're going to the Scala nightclub till 6am to get the train back at 6.30.

26 venues...blimey
I once did 17 when a student (in halves of bitter, DIO) but I wouldn't even make it half way round that now.

Nahhhh, you get to an age where you realise that it's not all about sinking pints

If I may ask, how old are you hh?

The thought of having a coke inbetween pints does not appeal at all

(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:04, Reply)

coke, however....
(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:04, Reply)
Not a big fan of fizzy drinks, but I do begrudge paying the same money for a bottle of water
as I do for a pint though
(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:05, Reply)
^^^this times 100
There's no duty on soft drinks, and they're made on a glorified SodaStream on the bar - so they should be way cheaper than beer. Coke is not £8+ a 2 litre bottle anywhere. Blatant profiteering or what?

It’s a bloody liberty, a liberty I tell you

(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:21, Reply)
A great way to stop people drinking so much alcohol, too.
not.
(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:27, Reply)
It takes a while to get around so the drinking is well spaced out
Old Kent Road is a right fucker.
(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:01, Reply)
A bargain at £60 though

(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:03, Reply)
It's well worth a punt, especially with Whitechapel and some hotels
Nice little earner

No HH it doesn't.
It's the sort of thing wanker medical students do. Or Australians. Dressed in wakki costumes.

I hope you managed to watch "13 Assassins" last night?

(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:11, Reply)
Recorded it but forgot it was on.
Excellent, that's tonight sorted.
(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:12, Reply)
It's been one of them films I've been meaning to watch for ages but never got round to it

(, Thu 1 Aug 2013, 9:15, Reply)
It's a way of seeing around London and drinking
Both of which I like. No costumes, but if you fancy joining us we could dress up as the Red Dwarf 'crew', you could be Kryten if you've got your new haircut sorted out by then.
