Was it really?
THere are quite a few films like that that jsut look a bit formulaic to me.

I do love a good horror film, but I'm not a fan of those paranormal activity ones.

it was great fun at the cinema, yes
i'm not saying it was the best movie ever or particularly novel/clever - but it gave me and my friend a really spooky, fun evening.

i agree, i think the paranormal ones are great and truly terrifying - but ONLY until you see the demon/ghost/whatever. then they usually degenerate into farce. have you seen "the strangers"? that's more of a slasher one, but it's really really creepy. i got a tension headache with fright watching that one.

Yes, trouble with the who "random people turn up and stabby time ensues" films
is that once you've seen one, you've seen them all. And I watched Eden Lake and then didn't want to see any of the others.

The Strangers was excellent
The whole cinema was tensed up. You could feel it. The first three bangs on the door shit everyone up!

Love the Paranormal films. The 4th one lacked a bit and relied on silly jumps. Hopefully the story will progress/conclude with the 5th
