I managed to purchase the "SAS Survival book" for a mere 20p, this book has lived in the boot of every car I have owned since, it's invaluable and has been really useful at times.

No, this post has changed my view on Harters
I realise now that he is some kind of Andy McNabb-style survival expert and quite possibly hard as nails and could probably kill a man with one hand.
