Bit shaken this morning - my poor colleague had an accident over the weekend and broke his back
Feeling v sorry for him, lying in hospital with no idea how good/bad the prognosis will be. Supposed to be my last week before holiday, but I might well not be able to go now, will depend how much work he had on. Poor guy.

Weekend was good, fri night trying and failing to fancy the suitable new guy, and sat misbehaving a tiny bit with one of rory's UNsuitable gypsy relatives at V. Beyonce was fucking awesome but 6 costume changes in an hour? With thousands of people standing in the pissing rain who can't see you anyway? Just get your jeans on, love.

I bought a pizza for the girls and the young girl behind the till gave me change for a tenner instead of a £20. I pointed it out politely, she gave me the balance at once. Maybe a genuine mistake, maybe not, who cares. Well, the people behind me, apparently. "ooooh she well knew she was robbin' that tenner" they shouted. Urgh, oiks! What happened to innocent until proven guilty, or serving thousands of people without a break making you knackered??

I can't stand it when 'urban' artists use a live band when they play gigs.
They always end up sounding like a fucking Las Vegas 'show' version of themselves. I saw a Destiny's Child gig on telly once and they managed to make not-to-my-taste but reasonably credible records sounds like a fucking Phoenix Nights clubland act.
