I'm on prescription drugs and the twat of a new doctor at the new surgery I now attend, changed my prescription to a new brand and they are crap. I am going to visit the doctor and tell him to change my prescription back or else I will cunt him in the fuck.

So there!

It hangs good bgb
Although my bolognaise adventure did not go well. It spat at me and I had to strain it. I've never had to strain it before.

And now I'm here on my computer all night. And I discovered that The Dark Knight isn't coming to my cinema until a week on Friday :(

(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 20:27, Reply)
It goeth ok miss tulip
I survived my trip to Engerland, just. Thought I was going to melt at one point though.

So no actual customers in tonight then? Awesome.

edit - I was straining it so I could get rid of some of the liquid. There was a lot of liquid.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 20:28, Reply)
hello Mr K!
*hugs*

No, no real customers tonight. Just really bad actors, standing with their legs apart and bellowing.

shurely if the bol spat at you you would have had to REstrain it

Well BK.
I have heartburn, I'm pining for my lover who is far away and I have wonky hair.

Apart from that I'm fine.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 20:33, Reply)
Ah, an attempt at a joke
Almost a pun, I would say. I have been making far too many puns recently.

I am pining for my bike. It isn't going to be ready until Thursday, most likely, which is annoying seeing as I go away again on Friday :(
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 20:36, Reply)
Aw, that's sad.
The far away lover, I mean.
I have wonky hair too at the minute but I'm going to get it cut at the weekend so that's ok
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 20:37, Reply)
that is all sad
*cries*
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 20:43, Reply)
@Bk
Having had very short hair for 18 years, I forgot that it was wonky when longer.

I believe wonky hair is all the rage in big cities.

I may be hip and not know it.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 20:44, Reply)
Not in Todmorden though?
MIne gets a bit of a Stonehenge/ Terry Wogan look if I let it grow so it definitely needs cut.

Just now?
I'm always fluffy and innocent.

And I wrote it and then thought how it could be otherwise construed.

(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:03, Reply)
It's a scottish thing
We're all innocent up here. I mean you work in a theatre, so you must be. And unless I'm mistaken, you wear scarves.

All good people wear scarves.

(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:10, Reply)
Well I do know where your theatre is
But you may also want to check your profile picture.

I just remembered because my brain works far to well.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:12, Reply)
@ BGB
Have you thought about investing in some mini straighteners, if your hair's wonky? Mine is long - just below my shoulder blades - and epically wonky, but straighteners make it all better.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:12, Reply)
I was going to go to the bash
and was all set to go up until lunchtime and surprise Spakka after saying I wasn't going to go until I remembered I'm skint and I had a puppy party to help organise tonight.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:13, Reply)
Well that sucks Becky
But I'm sure you're more than welcome to join the rest of us here.

Maybe.

In other news, I got back to my car today, and under the windscreen wiper was an advert for driving lessons. Who advertises driving lessons like that? I considered sending a strongly worded e-mail.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:15, Reply)
hey becky
*hugs*

a puppy party?

how does that work, then?

@PoD - wtf?!!!
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:16, Reply)
Hey becky.
Sucks being skint!
I had to take savings out to see me through the week til Friday!
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:16, Reply)
@HLT
I am planning on getting some mini straightners.

My heartburn is getting worse. I may go to bed soon.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:17, Reply)
Which part was that aimed at hlt?
Scarves or idiots advertising?
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:18, Reply)
sorry PoD
I meant the idiots advertising of course.

and I forgot i was wearing a scarf in my pic. it was cold. but i have been wearing them a lot recently. and there was a tall boy wearing a woolly hat in the cafe the other day, who I had not seen before.

*paranoids*

edit@BGB - hope the heartburn gets better soon flower.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:19, Reply)
I do often wear a wooly hat
But I'm not overly tall, so no need to worry. I would have let you know if I was coming to visit.

As for the idiot advertising, it was almost beyond belief. I was going to e-mail, but there was no address, and only an 0845 phone number, so I wasn't actually going to waste money on it.

There was also an advert for some hair extension lot, with some of the worst grammar I've ever seen on the advert.

edit - this was the hair lot: www.hairextensionsrus.co.uk/
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:22, Reply)
Whaddya mean maybe?
Puppy parties are where we get 4 or 5 puppies and their owners together for them to socialise for 4 weeks and we teach them how to do basic commands, flea and worming treatments and how to check for them and stuff like that. It's really fun so I chose to do that tonight instead as once this course finishes I'll be doing it by myself unless the new head nurse wants to do it as well and we earn money off it :)
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:24, Reply)
You know what I mean
You're always welcome m'dear.

I remember you talking about the puppy party before, but for some reason I had got it into my head that it was rabbits.

Who knows why. Stupid head.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:28, Reply)
@ BGB
Hope your heartburn sorts itself out, too :( that's fucking horrible.

GHDs will make your hair lully :) mine are cheap knockoffs that do the job almost as well, but I'm contemplating splurging a bit of my first pay packet on the real thing...
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:29, Reply)
I think trying to do the parties with rabbits
would be troublesome. We had enough trouble trying to seperate a frisky bichon frise from a bug tonight without bringing rabbits into it as well.

Oh we had our meeting today about making the practice a training practice and it looks like it'll take around a month to get it finalised, so I'm going to say probably two months to be on the safe side and THEN I can finally register for college :)
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:30, Reply)
I imagine it would probably go quite badly
Maybe some time in the future you could try it though, let me know how it goes, and pay me any profits as it was my idea.

Good to see your getting somewhere with the college stuff. I have got pretty much nowhere with my uni proposal this evening.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:34, Reply)
Hello!
I am currently on 13 hours of work... Still at least 3 to go!

I have missed the guys in the pub, and the office telly isn't working.

I AM SO BORED!
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:40, Reply)
How come?
can you make it a proposal in video format instead? Far more fun to do :)

I'm getting nowhere with medications tables as I suck at maths so need to learn all the formulas so I can impress them at work - just for self gratification, they don't expect me to be that good - and it's getting on my tits now.

Edit: DiT, I saw your Batman review and bow down to your non spoilerific review skills. I really wanted to write something like that, but had to resort to "It was totally fucking awesome" instead as I knew I'd write something and people would hate me.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:41, Reply)
Nowt wrong with that...
It was totally fucking awesome! :)

I got so angry that thelondonpaper only gave it 3 stars! Dicks!

EDIT: I hate the Ting Tings.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:44, Reply)
Where did the Ting Ting's thing come from?
And how's the server or network or whatever it is work going DiT?

And I have to do the proposal online, with their stupid form thing where I have to write in all the correct boxes and then it will probably break if it's anything like the other internet things they make us use.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:47, Reply)
phew!
I love the idea of bunny parties!

Right, the bad actors have left, so I'm putting the theatre to bed and then it's hometime! Woo!

byebye!
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:50, Reply)
Well, the site's back online...
So now it's just sense checking, making sure all the links work and that all the client ads are still there. Just got to get the European, American and APAC sites back up, and we're good to go.

I'm the fucking Marketing Manager... What the hell am I doing here?

(EDIT: The Ting Tings were on the Radio, hence my mention of them)
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:50, Reply)
Night hlt m'dear
Have fun in the empty theatre locking up.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:51, Reply)
I think you made a basic mistake DiT
The mistake being that unless it is an integral part of your job, NEVER admit that you can do things with computers, because people will always come and ask you to help.

Simple things, or big things, they will still ask you.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:52, Reply)
That sounds gash PoD
and I think you should write that in their boxes ,) *is helpful*

I hate the ting tings too. That fucking voice of hers....GRRRRrr

A bit like the moment when I discovered what Amy Winehouse's speaking voice is like - Wanderlust did an impression for me and I later googled to see if she was kidding. She wasn't. A little part of me was a bit sad.

Really? I like the London paper, much better than London Lite. Damn them for saying that. Cunts.

Edit: Night HLT

Second Edit: Sixty nine dudes :)

installed service pack 1 for Vista? My computer's asking me to install it now and I'm a bit wibblesome about it.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:54, Reply)
Can't say I have becky
But I got my pc after it was released, so it may already be installed on it. I don't actually have a clue.

*thinks about checking*

Nope, can't be bothered moving.

^Hahaha...
Perfect!

I haven't got SP1 yet, no doubt it's in a list of things to do somewhere...

PoD, there's 4 people in the office so I kind of had to muck in... :(
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:56, Reply)
Well that's fair enough then I suppose, DiT
I always seem to have to fix anything that goes wrong with either the computers at work, or friends computers at uni.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 21:58, Reply)
^Been there!
"Hey, DiT, you're good with 'puters..." - haunting words indeed!
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 22:02, Reply)
They are so haunting
Especially seeing as I use macs and pcs.
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 22:05, Reply)
Damn
Well I'll give it a go and see what happens. Cant use the computer for an hour so I'll go get food while it's doing stuff I reckon.

I get the "Hey you're good with computers" thing as well. Should have never showed them how to insert clip art as now whenever a problem occurs they come to me instead of calling the IT helpdesk. 9 times out of 10 they need to press the num lock button - Ok, three times so far and I manage to keep a straight face - but still, it's a bit annoying.

Right, I'm off for an hour
(, Tue 22 Jul 2008, 22:06, Reply)

How was today?

Cool :)
Yeah, puppy party was good. One puppy was pissing all over the owners flat and it's now stopped doing it completely in one week :)

We had a psycho kitten in as well that lunged at everyone. He had a hernia so must have hurt, but was still nuts after he was operated on, so I reckon he's just a psycho.

Well one blue and one green eye
