We spent more on a week's honeymoon in Cornwall than we did on the wedding.
Admittedly, it was an expensive honeymoon, that involved taking all the kids and grandkids along with us to a nice place, but still...

About four grand went on the wedding itself, I think. Best day of my life, too.

We knew the kids wouldn't have been able to afford holidays of their own that particular year
through one thing or another. Decided to have a big family trip and make a 'do' of it.
