I'm not a big fan of soldiers and the like but sometimes you read a story like this and it shows that some of them really are died in the wool heroes.

Begs the question why he's not getting the VC though, rather than getting the GC. Cpl Budd (PARA) got the VC in Afghanistan, although he was killed in the process.
