My brain couldn't cope with new education now. I barely manage with a new drama on telly.

Not for me,
I've got an old A4 refill and a bic biro.
Most high tech bit of gear I've got is an old mathematical calculator from when I was 16 (not including test equipment)

To a point, it's more basic equations to memorise.
And adding conversion factors from lists of tables depending on circumstances. But there is a really good "on site guide" that basically has almost everything you need as a quick reference.

My mate in Oxford (that I think I've mentioned to you before) had to learn loads for his Gas Safe qualification.

The gas one is a bit more intense as far as I can tell,
But it's more maths than I've used since 16 that's for sure.
