I actually quite fancy doing one of those "sponsor a child" things, i guess it's a bit like buying a house you pay off a little bit each month until 20 years later you own it.

I do the old 'headphones in' job when I go 'outside', even to the supermarket.
Makes it extremely easy to avoid the cunts who want to have an awkward stop-and-chat with you.

I tell the charities 'no'.
It's a bit harder to stop people who you vaguely know talking to you by bellowing 'NO' in their faces.
