they did waste a lot of money thereshittonne of money to refurb the old routemasters. then decided after the event that they weren't disabled friendly. so spent a shittonne more money getting rid of them and buying a fleet of ones that stoop to let wheelchairs onboard. given the % of people who use the buses who are in wheelchairs, it seems that it might have been more cost effective to hire taxis. but at least don't refurbish something just to replace it.
