Parenting advice tends to relate either to "the perfect child"
or "the person giving the advice's child who of course is/was perfect", as such, YMMV.

Most of it is wrong when applied to a different child, but eagerly seized upon by those without the wit to think for themselves.

The hard bit is spotting the few gems in a massive field of shit.
