I fucking love it, partly for that reason.
I have a particular liking for the disco rap records, pre sampling, pre drum machines, where the record labels used their house bands to play cover versions of classic breaks because there was no other way of providing a seamless backing track.

Had they had samplers they could've looped it up but they didnae. Tape loops were possible (as evidenced on some disco edits) but fucking laborious and I imagine these guys had probably never even heard of such a thing
