there is room in the economy for everyone if you are fair and split your shopping between online and high street
the high street is too important to the british economy to get borked. your fiver saved now will cost you dearly in terms of house prices plummeting as town centres become untenable; people who worked there on the dole; and the pension schemes that own them losing money and therefore costing you...
buy some things online and some things on the high street, and it works for everyone.

high street kensington, oxford street, regent street, deansgate, brum city centre, oxford, cambridge...
these places, not so much of a problem.
we're talking town centres dying out, affecting prices in the surrounding areas. towns like berkhamsted, durham, stockport...
