I have many hats, a corset (which is now way too big), some quite over the top jackets and that's before you even get to the larp kit.

Right now though it's just shirt and jeans. Boring

i'm just a bit over 3 1/2 stone less than I was last year. about 8 pounds and I'm socially acceptable (weightwise, mind...nothing else)

6 or 7 jars of chutney so far and 3 of stupidly solid ginger and apple jam
but there are loads of apples outside, I think this weekend I have to do something about them.

You'll need a big branch
A proper longbow cross section includes heartwood and sapwood, one's better in tension, the other's better in compression (buggered if I know which is which). IIRC a longbow was made from a split stave from the tree.
