Evening all

Shall we make a nest in here tonight? It's a lovely warm evening, the ... seagulls ... are squawking, and there is cake.

Hey hey
peeps how are you all

Helloooooooooooooooooo
Ipod dilemma solved - dinner eaten and I'm all yours : )

Evenin' all
No squawking seagulls here. Just blue skies and, well, that's about it.
How are we all?
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:22, Reply)
Gosh! it's 8.30 already.
I'll soon be off to bed.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:29, Reply)
I'm doing OK today, ta :)
Laundry is nearly finished - even if some little Chinese dude moved all my stuff into the drier without me knowing and was so apologetic when he realised it didn't work!

Been to London today to hand in some paperwork to work, and got a text from Mr Maladicta while I was there to say the estate agent called him to tell us the application on the flat is being processed. Eek.

In other news, the God Squad is still on campus.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:31, Reply)
It's only 3:30 here.
But in another two hours I go get dinner out and beer...
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:31, Reply)
8.30 is a bit early for bed, BGB
Even for you. It's not even a school night.

Poor TRL is still two hours away from dinner. Admittedly he's in a different time zone and so got up 5 hours later, but still!
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:40, Reply)
*trudges in*
evening all.

I'm still here. Well, when I say still, I mean, I've been here in spirit but in RL I've been extremely busy and important.

And I've had no sleep.

IS there any cake for a weary tulip?
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:43, Reply)
Nah! bed at 10pm
Read for an hour and then early up tomorrow. Clean house, go for a power walk, weather permitting and then try to find the inspiration to do some drawing.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:44, Reply)
@ hlt
There is much cake. Battenberg, Victoria sponge, chocolate fudge, and even profiteroles which you can all have because I don't like them.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:44, Reply)
I've got coffee cake.
Will pep you up : )
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:45, Reply)
@ miss dicta
thanks poppet

*falls asleep with face in cake*

how are you?

edit@BGB - ooh. ta honey.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:45, Reply)
@Maladicta
You don't like profiteroles? How odd! I've never known anyone who doesn't like them.

Evening HLT. Haven't seen you around these last few days.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:56, Reply)
@ hlt
Yay sleep nomming!

I'm 99% employed pending the results of my drug screening, may have a flat and going to Lille on Wed for free! Woo!
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:57, Reply)
@ K2k6
Nope - for some reason, possibly having eaten a dodgy one on holiday in Malta a few years ago, cream cakes don't appeal to me. Means more calories for pizza and chocolate. Om nom nom.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 20:58, Reply)
I have
a sore belly :( so no cake for me (til it dies down)

@Ethel
Poorly Ethelred. *rubs belly better*

I've also just seen the trailer for the worst film ever made.
Featuring Alan "tramp-biter" Davies. Wild horses would not drag me to this film, nor would the promise of sexy tiem with Yahtzee.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:15, Reply)
Yahtzee
Now there's a name from the past. I used to have that game as a kid. Something to do with throwing 5 dice as I remember it. Great fun.

No idea WTF is has to do with a poor film starring Alan Davies though!
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:21, Reply)
^ Yahtzee is not the game in this instance.
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation is where you need to go. Yahtzee is a game reviewer who I am inexplicably attracted to, and for various reasons the tramp biter makes me sick.

Strip Yahtzee could be interesting, that would combine it with sexy tiem.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:26, Reply)
Oh, I see
That makes more sense.

Strip Yahtzee...we're back to last night's thread again!
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:35, Reply)
I always thought strip Twister would be more fun.
Nakedness and someone's boobies touching you : )

Edit - I'm off to bed now. Play nice kids.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:39, Reply)
Bye BGB
Hello everyone else!
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:41, Reply)
Strip Twister
wouldn't really work, because it would be difficult to disrobe in such an awkward position. You'd be better just to start it naked.

Hmm, perhaps naked Twister is the way to go!

Edit - Night BGB. Hello clendrix.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:41, Reply)
k2k6
That sounds good.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:41, Reply)
WRONG!
Naked twister sounds grim.
You're so entrenched in fantasy land, you're not really seeing its rather unsightly potential.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:48, Reply)
Clendrix
don't you go shoving your arse into my fantasies (again)
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:49, Reply)
Hmm
Yes, the arse-face interface issues would not necessarily be too pleasant.

But you're just spoiling it, clendrix! It is a fantasy game, after all :)
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:54, Reply)
Oddly enough
the Notorious iPod just kicked up PJ Harvey's "The Whores Hustle And The Hustlers Whore."
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:56, Reply)
Loon!

!

Look, I love a bit of arse as much as the next person, but I don't want one shoved in my face whilst trying to move my arm into some horrific position on a yellow spot.

You've considered that it might be a male arse in your faces, haven't you?
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 21:58, Reply)
iPods are always like that, Loon
My mate's one started playing "Leaving on a Jet Plane" one night just as we drove into Lockerbie. True story!

@clendrix - NO, NO! I would only play naked Twister with women.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:00, Reply)
^ ooo. That's simultaneously wrong and funny.
But commendations to your friend for having such an excellent song on his iPod :)

*puts it on and sways to it*
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:01, Reply)
K2k6
But don't want a male arse in my face either.

I am also completely, utterly and depressingly straight.

*plays twister alone, fully clothed, crying softly*
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:06, Reply)
*twister style hugs*
to Clendrix
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:07, Reply)
@clendrix
It might be worth losing some twister points to get a more favourable position!
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:09, Reply)
Aah,
now twister hugs - that seems a whole lot better.

Happy to shed points for hugs.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:10, Reply)
Before that, now that I think of it
was Johnny Cash singing "Four Strong Winds". Somehow it knew you were having this conversation in here, it seems...
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:16, Reply)
Another day
I was driving to work, and a ned in a Nissan Almera went roaring past me on a blind summit.

As he went by, Simon and Garfunkel were singing "Slow down, you move too fast..."
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:18, Reply)
What's all this talk about naked twister?
Or non-naked twister?
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:18, Reply)
Too little
too late (if you pardon the expression) PoD
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:19, Reply)
Fair enough
I'm about to drive home from a friends, so will read up properly once I get home and crawl into bed.

I sat on the Tube opposite the coolest guy in the world.
Well, he thought he was the coolest guy in the world; he was certainly good looking, but he had made two major errors.
Firstly, he was wearing his sunglasses on an underground train. Not cool. Only dickish.
Secondly, he was playing his ipod too loudly - that's not uncool, but he was listening to 'My Girl' which was.

I like to sing - I'm no good at it, but I like it, so hey. As he got up to get off the Tube, the song finished, but I'd already started singing it out loud,

'I got sunshine...'

He looked at me, so I looked back and sang the next line,

'Cos my ipod's too loud.'

I was a bit drunk earlier tonight - a fellow b3tan led me astray. But now I'm sober.

Evening becks
Busy day?

I shall now disappear for a short while and reappear soon.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:28, Reply)
Evening Becky
Did you have a good day playing with your puppies?

*sniggers*
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:29, Reply)
*hugs everyone*
No puppies in today, but plenty of cats. Some spiteful, others not so much. One long term case we've been treating for a few weeks got a cancer diagnosis today, so I'm a bit meh about it.

Edit: I'm the coolest girl in the world then Clendrix as I frequently wear sunglasses on the tube - only when I get on though as it's overground for a bit and bloody sunny in the morning. I also play my MP3 player too loud and have that annoying foot tappy thing going on. I don't even realise I'm doing it until I look up and people are staring at me ,)
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:38, Reply)
That's a shame, Becky
Kitty cancer is not good.

Ok, well, for as much as I'd like to sit here and chat all night, I'm falling asleep now, so I think I'll be off to my bed.

Night all.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:41, Reply)
Meh
she's not my cat, just feel a bit sad as she was doing pretty well a few weeks ago.

Have got pizza to munch now ;)
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:45, Reply)
G'night K2k6

Becky, sunglasses on overground trains is fine. And too-loud ipods with foot tapping also cool - I do this. But if you'd seen him, you'd know what I meant.

This time next week, we'll have met.
It's all so odd. But very fun!
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:45, Reply)
Returns!
I do the foot tapping thing, due to drumming I think.

Meh.
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 22:56, Reply)
I dated a drummer for a while
so probably that for me to by osmosis or something?

Very true Clendrix :) Looking forward to it x
(, Fri 1 Aug 2008, 23:01, Reply)
I would say
More by radiation or convection. Or microsyncrony. But then what do I know?

All the girls love teh drummers.*

*May in fact not be true.

Righty-ho
I want to have a long and productive day tomorrow (and it seems to have been an excessively long day today too), so I'm off to bed.

Catch you over the weekend.
