Did where you stayed, ate, etc. make you pay for everything in advance? Most reasonable* places do up there due to the amount of people fucking off without paying.
* I know there are very few places in Liverpool that achieve such a high standard.

No, not at all.
They asked us to settle up the night before we left, because they were usually so busy in the mornings.

That's the reason they gave you...

(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:17, Reply)
Well, we do look pretty shifty.

shifty

Hefty

I'd like to say I'm sorry about that strikethrough, but, in all honesty, I'm not.

Nah, that's just me.
My mum is a skinny bitch.

Ah. Thought you went with the old man.

(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:24, Reply)
He doesn't do shopping.
Or walking.
This was strictly a girls' weekend. The old lady, her best mate, and me.

Good job his carer works weekends eh?

The Swan Inn is a good city centre boozer.
Rock pub, real ales and Old Rosie scrumpy. Belting place.

It's Liverpool. No thanks.

(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:20, Reply)
We passed one boozer that was doing £1.98 pints up till 6pm.
And they say there's a problem with alcohol up north.
(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:21, Reply)
In my local it's £4.10 for a standard pint. Somewhere premium is nearly a fiver.

(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:25, Reply)
Anyone would think you lived in London...

(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:31, Reply)
…where paying a fiver a pint doesn't mark you out as the sort of prick who….well, would willingly pay a fiver for a pint.

(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:47, Reply)
House bitter at my local is 2quid. Most are 2, 40-2.80.

(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:51, Reply)
It's about 3.70 - 4 quid round here.
I remember when I was at uni, most union election campaigns were run on a platform of 'a pound a pint'...
(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:52, Reply)
£3 a pint here
When are you over here anyway?
(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 21:57, Reply)
pretty much the same here (non-gentrified West Yorkshire)

(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 22:18, Reply)
My local £3.20/pint for standard lager, £4.00 for 'premium'
My usual haunt £2.44 for lager but £1.90 on Mondays
(, Tue 3 Dec 2013, 22:28, Reply)
Or, as everyone else calls it 'Yorkshire'.
