I have a law questionWhy do we need to legalise gay marriage? Was it ever made illegal? What laws currently stop sex sex couples getting married?

The bit in the vows where it says "marriage is the union of one man and one woman"I imagine.
about 3 lines of the marriage vows are legally binding and are in all services, even registry office ones. The rest are guff.
