well, tramping around the resort, not actually skiing.
instead I have spectacularly bent white/pink ones (sports direct special)

They are designed for boat decks, the only grips they have are laser-cut lines to help water run through.

as it's very hard to use a knife to cut very fine zigzags.
The point is that they are so fine as to almost be invisible so don't function as a grip in any standard setting, except on the wet deck of a yacht.
