i like the idea of not having 10kg of my 20kg allowance taken up with booksbut the tangible pleasure of going to the airport bookshop and choosing 12 books for the week ahead is just NOT the same as a piece of electronic equipment.

Plus an e-book is only a licence to readcan't pass it on, and can be taken off you at any time if Amazon decide your payment is dodgy.....

it's not a bookit lacks everything about books that makes them BOOKS. there is nothing bookish about a kindle.
I would only get one if I were going away for more than a week. and then I would burn it when I got home!
