I am sorry for your pain and am here for you at this most difficult time xx
Have you proposed yet?

No mate,
I'm sort of in this weird limbo, where I know it's time, but I can't find the perfect time. I think I might have to accept that the perfect time may never come and just get on with it.

How is the wee bairn?

Make it nice and romantic. Women love this shit and she will be telling the tale for the rest of your life!
Surprise is the key, not the right moment.

Do it now, via facetime!!

Or you could put the ring in a wrap like I did
Not very romantic but it worked.

I'd drop it in a glass of soda water after.
That's pretty much a choking hazard.

oH AYE, SHE COME INTO SOME MONEY?

(, Mon 17 Feb 2014, 19:33, Reply)
nope, just did some thinking,
and realised that i kind of liked the idea that what i know to be true, can be celebrated in a serious way. you know, it's just, i love this girl, and we're probably going to be together for fucking ages if not forever, so why not have a party and celebrate how great we are together. it all kid of clicked a few weeks back, and i spent a huge amount of time trying to get her ring size without making it obvious, and then spend even more ages picking out a ring, and every little detail of the process made me happier and more excited about the whole thing, and now i'm itching to give her the bloody thing becuase i know she'll love it.

I carved my proposal in the snow in the back garden.
Still sounds like a poor euphemism years later.

Best thing I have ever done or am ever likely to do. I was against the idea until I was about 35, now I regret not having become a dad earlier in my life.
