I don't know that much about medical education - do you lot lot get many Pointless Bullshit courses to do?
I am currently finishing off 3000 words of utter drivel about mentorship.
What I wanted from the course was some stuff about my legal and ethical position vis-a-vis stuff like signing off final placement students and some handy hints and tips on in-the-workplace-teaching and got 8 weeks of management speak and very little of the above.

It didn't help that there were two physchiatric nurse cunts on the course who lapped up all that bollocks.

Yes, quite a few.
I have a diversity one coming up soon, which I've done several times. Utter bollocks.

Diversity tells us that we are all the same, but different. A few days of role play involving this, then a written
resume and oral presentation.

A few days?
Fucking hell. I'd buy a good book if I were you.

This is the sort of horseshit I am writing.

I could be doing something useful for fuck's sake.

I got as far as SWOT analysis, then gave up.

That was the point at which I switched off and the theme from 'Magic Roundabout' started playing in my head on the classroom days.
My most common question to the lecturers 'Yes, but what do you actually WANT with this piece of work?'

I was rather passive-aggressively referred to in the 'problem students' session as 'the one who doesn't see the point in anything'.

I bet you felt proud!

I rather pointedly answered the 'what do you do with this one' question with 'give them a sensible rationale for why something is one, rather than parrot off a load of guff'.
