In recent vegetable news...I got my allotment all planted up a couple of weeks ago, only to discover that the water tap that the council installed doesn't actually fucking work.
Sad times.

Cool. I planted some broccoli and French beans in egg boxes on my kitchen window and they're rocketed in about a week.I'll plant them outside at the weekend. Nature is pretty fucking cool.

I have lettuces, runner beans, red onions and purple sprouting brocolli out in the plot6 tomato varieties, sunflowers, courgettes, french beans, chard, sprouts and some other bits growing in pots ready for planting out in a week or so

Aren't you a bit late?I got mine planted out a week or two back. Had them chitted weeks before that.
Also you're a southern woopsie, so you can get away with doing it even earlier in the year.
