My CRX needs a new lifter motor for the roof to work,
Got to lift it off manually till I get it sorted.

Thought you got all greased up and slippery? Not a permanent fix, obviously.
I've got a cable tie holding my throttle cable to my pedal until I can be bothered to put the new grommet on.

The boot is greased and now goes up and down,
But the motor that lifts the roof up so the boot mechanism can take it has ground to a halt. The previous owner tried to use it with a foot of snow on the roof and I think that might have been too much for it.

A lot of these motors use plastic gears.
As with everything plastic, they perish and snap. Typical case of economy versus quality, there.

There's something up with my electric window. I discovered that if you wind it all the way down, it won't go back up again. Unless, of course, you stop by the side of the road and do the quickest door card removal in the world.

Ha, that's ace.

Given that my heater's currently fucked too
I was pretty keen to have the window closed.
(, Thu 24 Apr 2014, 12:17, Reply)
Have you thought about fixing it?

(, Thu 24 Apr 2014, 12:18, Reply)
I have, I have indeed.
When I get the time and parts to take out half the dash, I will.

it's almost like old cars are unreliable pieces of shit

I've found that most cars are unreliable pieces of shit.
You may as well have something you enjoy.

These are euphemisms, yes?
