The variation in curry strength from restaurant to restaurant.Some places - madras = bang on. Other places - madras = hardly any chilli.
There should be a British standard.

Hottest curry I've ever eaten was a madras, was stupidly over the topUsually I love the stuff, but this was ridiculous.
