But the other part of me knows that going down to the local dive is better than sitting in and ruminating over things.
On the bright side I've decided to lurk less and be truer to the true "QOTWer" within.
Hope you have a good sad old fart night.

Although I'm off in a bit to watch The Time Machine. I don't have a laptop so I can't do both.
Edit - @RadG - If I remember correctly then 4 year old daughters love horsey rides on their daddies backs. Giddy-up!

Don't know about horsey back rides, but my little princess specialises in "How many and varied are the ways in which I can drive my poor Father into madness and an early grave"
I have just got the beast off to sleep! :)
Time for a VERY well deserved glass or two of something strong and some maltesers!

Don't worry too much.
When wor lass first qualified a long time ago, it took her 5 years of supply and crap jobs until "THE" job came along.
It will happen for you too.
Maybe not next week or next month, but a good teacher ALWAYS finds the right place to be even if it takes a while.
When you get "THE" job, the waiting will be worthwhile.
Hugs

What does she teach?
I'm hoping to get some supply but the council won't put me on their list as I'm an NQT. So I've written to every school to tell me that I'm available.
Also the GTC has not got round to putting my membership through and the council won't let me work without it. CUNTS

She teaches Art (specialising in ceramics and scuplture), so she did not have an easy time at all in the first few years as you can imagine!
She got there though!
Don't give up, we need good teachers despite the obstacles that are put in your way these days.

I teach primary, so finding work should (with luck) be easier as I can teach anything from year 1 to 6.

but I've had a long long day, so not sure how great company I've been. Two hours of which included talking to my school teacher brother which is avoided as often as possible.

as I'm floating around the net replying to emails, gazzes and facebook pokes anyway. He has been a cockend since he started training as a teacher around 15 years ago, but tonight he spoke to me as if I were a grown up who does actually have a clue about what I'm talking about - sorry family stuff, not sharing - and it was kinda weird but good.
How was your day?
Re Tony Hawk, god I'd spend entire days playing Ratchet and clank or sonic as I adore platform games. Had to get rid of my computer consoles as they were far too addictive. I once woke up still playing crash bandicoot in my sleep and was doing pretty well until I came around completely.

We were playing Shenmue on the Dreamcast a few years ago. Part of one of the puzzles involved finding a lightbulb. The sad thing was that we were in the supermarket and bought some lightbulbs, got home, and couldn't remember why we needed them. Oh dear.
*edit* To bed, night one and all.
