I'm not totally closed to the possibly of there being a decent female comedian - I've just not seen one.Some are 'ok', but some are just absolute shit. When I see them on Mock The Week or whatever I just think it's a bit like female-only shortlisting of MPs. It's all about quotas and not about ability.

Probably the nature of stand up as a formWe are conditioned to the delivery style of men so while women can be very funny in a conversation it doesn't translate to the stage as well...
