I presume someone could use it to get a job with a stolen identity and look legitimate when they are in fact working illegally?
Still paying tax but keeping the take home pay they shouldn't be earning?

In theory if people are paying Nat Ins on it you will be benefitting.
It's more they could set up dummy accounts, loans etc in your name and then fuck off.
