Morning all
Well now we have fancy new talk style replies. Come on inside and play!

(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:12, 57 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
Morning V!
How you doing this morning?
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:15, Reply)
Morning Clendrix
I'm doing ok. Was a bit worse for wear last night but feeling ok today. Going to have a nice relaxing day and possibly go down to the pub quiz this evening.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:36, Reply)
I don't like the talk style replies :(
I don't like talk. I liked it how it was *sulks*
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:20, Reply)
change is good
unless you have Asperger's, obviously
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:13, Reply)
Badger
I'm with you on that.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:20, Reply)
If you have people replying
to individual posts then it becomes really hard to read stuff as it goes all over the place :(

You guys ok? I'm still in my pyjammas eating crunchy nut cornflakes :D
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:23, Reply)
Yes...
I don't think this is a 'I fear change' reaction, like all those people moaning about Facebook. It's more a concern that we'll miss out on bits on conversation. I like chatting with everyone, not just a select few.

I'm fine thanks, considering I didn't get to sleep untl 4.30pm. Drunken flatmate is still asleep, as is the random b3tan in my lounge. But that said, it was a reasonably civilised night!

Today I plan to do mostly nothing - bliss!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:29, Reply)
I agree Cendrix
Talk board is all open as it were, but as all the replies are under one main topic anyway I don't see the point of then segmenting those replies further?

I'm really tired and I think I went to bed at about 1ish after waving goodbye all the the random B3tans I met :p
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:31, Reply)
*tries out replies*
we can always choose not to use it as a protest if we really don't like it
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:40, Reply)
Badger
you saw b3tans? Was this at the Leam Bash? How was it?
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:39, Reply)
hmm, not sure about the replies...
I'm full of black pudding and poached egg.

also very tired after a gig friday, surf yesterday and poker last night

y'all ok?
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 11:41, Reply)
Yup
Rubberduck, Labiamajora, himjim and I all met and got jolly off cider :D

Twas a good evening, hopefully I didn't scare anyone off :p
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:25, Reply)
did Pooflake and the Captain not turn up then?
are they still lost to the world?
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:39, Reply)
I can't remember the excuse they used
But no they didn't. We were not amused!

Much like you using the evil reply system!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 13:00, Reply)
Morning folks
I am slightly worse for wear from Mount Gay Barbados rum. Yum!
Settled down with tea to watch the Grand Prix.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:28, Reply)
Hey BK
me too! Should be a good race, I am hoping Vettel has a good race :) He will probably get taken my Kovalainen in the first corner though.. And Massa isn't that far back considering most of the cars in front of him are slower. Oooh drama!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:34, Reply)
I've got to pick my sister up from Drama soon
Not sure when she'll be finished though - She better not make me miss the start of the race!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:37, Reply)
@GB
Should be good. I do hope Vettel does well, and Hamilton fights his way through.

All the drivers were obviously pissing themselves laughing that Lewis got the win taken away from him. They had no sympathy at all!

Refusing to use the /talk-style replies!

@V.

Yep, gotta see the start!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:37, Reply)
She just called me
And is walking home *cheers*

I think the /talk style replies will be ok if they're working on getting post highlighting in here. If that doesn't work here though it's a bit of a pain to use them.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:41, Reply)
Hellooo!
G'day all.

I had a great laugh at the Leamington mini-bash last night, so thanks Himjim, rubberducky and TGB for a fine event!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:39, Reply)
G'day LM
Glad you had a good evening.

I sat and watched DVDs, drank rum, and played Wii with my bro and a few friends. Was a decent evening.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:41, Reply)
himjim was telling us of his

F1 conspiracy theories yesterday :p
Hamilton does seem to have a lot of shit luck, he needs a decent finish as Massa is only two points behind him.
Talk of a safety car start, hope it won't come to that!

Hey Lab :) Twas a fine evening indeed!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:42, Reply)
@ TGB
He has unbelievably bad luck.

I still cannot see that he did anything wrong last week at all.
I agree with himjim that it's a conspiracy

*looks around*
*paranoids*
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:44, Reply)
hahah
Bernie's comment of "for the first time I'd like to see a Pole win" made me laugh! :p
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:49, Reply)
@ TGB
That was good.

No! Safety car start! Bollocks

*edit*
Quick ciggie now before it starts
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:51, Reply)
:(
Hopefully only for a few laps. *fingers crossed*
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:53, Reply)
Hopefully
Hope Massa crashes, with all due repect to clendrix's pocket Brazilian.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:56, Reply)
haha
My old housemate popped by to pick up some stuff and commented how he didn't "get" the F1 logo until I said well there is the F and the 1 in between that and the "zoom" bit.

Was like a light going on, although I never realised the 1 was in the gap until about a year ago!

I am massively stupid at times :p

Right sofa is beckoning so see you all in the ad breaks :p
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 12:59, Reply)
OK
I'm on the laptop so can still see the TV:)

*edit*
Oh fuck! Poor Bourdais!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 13:00, Reply)
Yup
Bourdais must be kicking himself!

The visibility is crazy, I don't think I'd want to go faster than about 40!

Vettel is storming at the minute though! Almost 2 secs a lap faster! Hopefully he won't have too many issues when he catches the back of the pack
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 13:11, Reply)
I know
I think I would just keep it on the track, not worry too much about overtaking and assume it'll be a race of attrition.

Pleased Vettel seems to be having a stormer.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 13:12, Reply)
Only one retirement so far
Quite surprising.

More rain on the way though:)
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 13:31, Reply)
Fantastic race so far!
The Toyota mechanic making a wanker motion was quite amusing as well :p

Hamilton playing it very safe by giving the place back to the Toyota a few laps ago, don't blame him though!

Does Kimmi actually realise he is racing? 0_o doesn't seem to be getting anywhere!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 13:40, Reply)
Raikkonen hasn't turned up!
Awesome race so far.
Massa's back in the back and Lewis is flying.
This could be the race of his life:)
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 13:45, Reply)
Well
It's definitely the race of Vettel's life! Even if he comes second - as Hamilton has so much more straight line speed and will easily take him if he gets close enough - that is a fantastic result for the Toro Rossos.

Berger makes me laugh, possibly the only team boss who has had a pole position and not really thought about winning the race, just getting some points!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 13:55, Reply)
It hasn't rained
Hamilton's not going to do it now.
Oome on Vettel!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 14:04, Reply)
Oi BK
Stop wishing crashes on my man.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 14:20, Reply)
@clendrix
Shan't!

*edit*

Yay Vettel. Unbelievable!
Hamilton tailed off a bit:(
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 14:26, Reply)
I missed most of the race
because a large, knife-wielding, hooker-chopping man came to my house last night for dinner and we were having a chat on the sofa this afternoon while the race was on.

But saw the last few laps - happy about the winner and happy that Massa beat Hamilton.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 14:38, Reply)
Kaol knows where you now live Clendrix!
You brave person :p

YAY for Vettel! I am really pleased he won :) Hamilton looked like he may have made it but bad tyre decision (again) got the best of him. Berger is awesome as well - looked pleased for the driver rather than thinking about points and stuff.

I loved the comment about him giving F1 drivers a bad name by being nice haha
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 14:41, Reply)
Badger
Yes he does!
*trembles*

Also liked that comment; I love it when they look really happy to be where they are, which is why I like Massa so much.*

*I may have mentioned I like him. Did I? Did I mention it?
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 14:51, Reply)
Massa looks happy when he is on the podium
because then he is taller than other people.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 14:55, Reply)
I don't like this
new /talk style reply thingy.
I like it how it was.

Can we have a vote to say how we want it to be?
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 17:16, Reply)
I don't like it
either.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 17:50, Reply)
Same
here.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 17:51, Reply)
I don't like it either
!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 18:09, Reply)
It's poo.
.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 18:48, Reply)
The other
annoying thing about it is that I thought there were no more replies because the number hadn't changed.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 18:40, Reply)
I'm jumping on the I don't like this either bandwagon
So there.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 19:07, Reply)
Aah!
I don't know who to reply to! I don't like it, I'm too simple for this!
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 19:49, Reply)
I'm sure the mods just love doing stuff for us
and then watching us all whine about it.

But truth is, it wasn't the off-topic people requesting it, so I guess we're allowed to grumble a bit.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 19:18, Reply)
It would be better if there
was just a reply button at the bottom of the page.
Ahhh well, what's done is done eh?
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 19:21, Reply)
Not at all Wanderlust
I'm sure it can be undone.

(I doubt it will be though)
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 19:28, Reply)
So
this is /talk for people who don't like /talk?
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 19:59, Reply)
Yes

(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 20:13, Reply)
What we really need is
/grumble. I'd be on there all the time.
(, Sun 14 Sep 2008, 20:17, Reply)
I vote
that we just ignore the new reply system and carry on like it was before.
