Nice is a perfectly acceptable description.
Port can be terrible as can any drink.

While I'm on this: Anyone who has ever sat in a pub filling a notepad with tasting notes as they work through a half of everything on offer needs a fucking slap around the head with the tankard that they invariably insist be used to serve their fucking drinks in.
