Watched an interesting - if lightweight - doco last night on HMP Holloway.
They were suggesting treating women prisoners different from male prisoners! The rampant sexism was being spouted and justified by all sorts of lefties, many of whom were obviously vegetarians, and some I suspect with homosexual tendencies.
Oswald Mosley lived there with his Doris (herself a lag) for a bit, and they had the other prisoners wait on them. Churchill himself sanctioned it, so at least he got that right.

That suggests to me that they need harsher treatment if anything.

Apparently they act different to men or summat. Most women are in prison for supporting criminal men.
It was actually very interesting - women are more likely to express anger internally as self harm as opposed to men, who express it externally as violence against others. Women are statistically far more law-abiding than men (see earlier that generally they're in prison because they were supporting/covering for a criminal man).
The bit where they do go bad is drug addiction and alcohol abuse - their primary carer/maternal instincts completely break down with those.
They're also far more likely to enter into homosexual relations in prison, which was nice to hear (assuming they're fit, obviously).
