Stores, including Apple's own ones, typically only make 3% per iPad.
That's why you never see them discounted at any high rate.

Pretty much all independant phone shops etc hate selling Apple stuff as there is no margin at all in it for them

Its not mate
that might be the advertised rate but when you are using cheap slave labour to make them the cost of an iphone to produce is well under £100, when you also add in that fact that compared to European and US manufacturers they flout many environmental rules then that's another cost saving,
