Alt. I saw a documentary years back about a bloke who carved the heraldic statues for churches and castles etc. He had a wood out the back of his workshop and would cut the log and then carve the griffin etc. looked fucking great, as they were all handmade commissions each one was about 20k's worth of work.

its a minor flaw in my plans for it as well
he would do 4 or so a year so pretty well paid over all as well
